Scott Ramp is an actor, a director, a writer, and a makeup artist. A graduate of the University of Oregon, Scott began his career as an actor and a singer, appearing in diverse professional theatrical productions from Shakespeare comedies to award-winning musicals to a national tour of “La Cage Aux Folles”.  A theatre director as well, Scott has directed dozens of productions in various regional theaters and in theaters around Los Angeles. He teaches actors as well, and has been on the faculty of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles since 1985.

Scott has carved himself a unique niche in the makeup and special effects industry. In 1992, Scott began developing his Halloween business and incorporated as The Scream Team (screamteam.com) in 1995. He has also run large-scale amusement park events including 21 years as the makeup designer for Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Fright Fest.

Although the Halloween industry and teaching takes most of his time, he works from time to time as a make-up artist in films and television and has worked with such actors as Harry Belafonte, Paul Rudd, Parker Posey, Peter Dinklage and Jane Lynch.
