Scott Markus began working in the paranormal field when he directed a documentary on the most haunted locations in Chicago in 1999. He released a book on the subject in 2003, titled “Voices from the Chicago Grave,” which was expanded and re-released in 2008. Also in 2008, Markus began producing and co-hosting the paranormal radio show “The Mothership Connection” on WLIP 1050-AM.

Markus’s career in film/video production began in 1997, when still in high school. After college, Markus moved to Hawaii where he worked on “Lost,” and “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” among others. In Chicago, he worked on “Dark Knight,” “Prison Break,” “Stranger than Fiction,” and other major motion pictures.

His production career and paranormal career have continued to run parallel to each other. In 2014 Markus released a feature-length documentary titled “The Hidden Truth?” about a string of deaths in La Crosse, Wisconsin and the paranormal occurrences linked to them.

Markus has been living in Los Angeles for the past seven years, working as a camera operator and film editor while also researching west coast ghost stories for another upcoming book, producing videos for YouTube and has lead hundreds of tours of haunted Hollywood and downtown LA. Markus was recently featured on multiple episodes of the Travel Channel series “Monumental Mysteries.”
